InterOPERA participated in the CIGRE 2025 Symposium in Trondheim, Norway, contributing to the global conversation on transforming the power system to support the energy transition.
As part of the event, InterOPERA hosted the dedicated workshop “InterOPERA at Crossroads: Advancing Multi-Vendor HVDC Interoperability”. The session spotlighted the project’s multi-disciplinary approach to addressing interoperability challenges in multi-vendor HVDC networks. With Phase I of the project nearing completion, the workshop focused on its key activities: the development of common frameworks, the definition of functional specifications, and the interaction studies.
These foundational activities set the stage for Phase II, which will focus on the physical demonstrator and real-world testing of interoperability from different vendors.
