Réseau de Transport d’Électricité (RTE) presented the InterOPERA project at the second Belgian Energy Transition workshop on 16 September in Genk, Belgium. Organised by ETCH, this workshop brought together a wide range of stakeholders to discuss control, security, and societal acceptance in the energy transition.
During the keynote address, RTE presented interoperability from a TSO perspective and highlighted InterOPERA’s work on multi-vendor HVDC systems. The presentation covered real-time testing activities and the separation between high-level and low-level converter control.
The session also showcased InterOPERA’s technical and non-technical workstreams, including the cooperation framework, procurement strategy, and preparations for future projects, demonstrating the project’s comprehensive approach to advancing HVDC system interoperability.
