From 23 to 27 June, InterOPERA participated in the 2024 IEEE Power and Energy Society General Meeting in Seattle. The event was a significant opportunity for the project to demonstrate its progress and discuss the future of HVDC offshore grids and interoperability.
A full-InterOPERA panel was hosted on 23 June, where experts presented the latest results of the project and engaged in deep discussions on critical topics.
The panel covered insights on the specifications and requirements for MV-MT HVDC grids, shared use cases from upcoming European MTDC projects, and emphasized the importance of standardizing interaction study processes and interfaces. The Multi-Vendor Multi-Terminal demonstrator, a key focus of the project, was highlighted alongside valuable perspectives from Offshore Wind OEMs on grid connection and MV-MT interoperability.
